As your Highway Superintendent of Orchard Park, my mission is to provide efficient highway maintenance and construction where it is necessary and when it is needed. I want to ensure construction crews have the proper machinery and equipment to get the jobs done in a timely matter to cut down on road work time for our town.

Our winters here in the town of Orchard Park can get messy, especially with Lake Effect snow so prominent when the lake hasn’t frozen over. I will ensure that we can provide our snow crews with more snowplows and employees to clear the roads consistently and in a timely manner. I will also prioritize de-icing of roads and sidewalks to ensure a safer environment for the people of Orchard Park.

When our hard working employees of the Orchard Park community don’t have the proper experience, training, or equipment, the job becomes a safety hazard. Safety is the number one priority when it comes to the people maintaining our roads and highways no matter what season it is.

The job doesn’t start and stop with me. It takes the whole town of Orchard Park to work together to improve the community and enhance the safety of our people on the road. The party lines don’t sway me in any direction. I am willing to learn from the experience of our workers to know what is working and what isn’t.

I will not be cutting corners that puts the jobs or employees at risk. I will comply with our laws, regulations, and safety standards relevant to highway and road maintenance in our town. Efficiency is key, and with proper planning, scheduling, and communication, we can ensure our roads and highways are functioning at the highest level.

We should be grateful to the people of Orchard Park who pay their taxes and expect their officials to spend their money in the right places. My job is to ensure the proper allocation of our resources, budget and schedule effectively, and set work priorities.
